Entities Within Us - Website Header

The History of Entities Within Us

It all originated from an idea I had while I was writing Progressive Tune Beats. There's a game on Roblox I play called PolySonic RP, and I have a character named Entity. The character has the same colors seen on this website: black and magenta. I tried my best to make the colors alternate throughout the character. Also, my display name at the time was The_EntityWithinUs, thanks to my Entity character. I thought the name sounded cool, so I made it my unofficial musical alias.

After hooking up with some of my old friends from elementary school on Discord, I asked them if they wanted Entities Within Us to become a collaboration project, or stay solo. Leon wanted in as a collab and asked me to make a Discord server just for this. And that's where we are today: a website, a Discord server, our music, and a music group with high school students who have known each other for a long time.

Licensing

Since September 6, 2023, we started to license our songs under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Anyone may copy and distribute any material we release, as long as you give appropriate credit to us, provide a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made. If you remix, transform, or build upon our material, you must follow the same terms as copying and distributing, but you must also license your work under the same license as the original.

If you have any copy of our songs prior to September 6, 2023, please delete any unlicensed versions of our licensed songs and redownload the licensed versions. We also ask that if you plan to copy, distribute, remix, transform, or build upon our material, please let us know so that we are aware of such action. Using our songs without using the CC BY-SA 4.0 license and/or using them without us being aware of such action will put you in trouble. Please use our songs responsibly and let us know before you publish your work. We both would like to avoid having to go through a conflict.

Any songs marked as unlicensed are in the process of receiving a license. These songs use content that come from an external source. Before licensing these types of songs, we contact the creators of the external source for permission to license our songs and distribute them. We ask that any copies of songs you have that are not licensed to be deleted until we get permission to license and distribute those songs.
